Each of our cells uses Vitamin E. One of the main benefits of this vitamin is as a defense against toxins, pollutants, and free radicals. The way this specific vitamin E is derived is from the most pure source possible. This is d-alpha tocopherol and there is no other natural source that beats it. The difference between this product and others like it is that it is unesterified. If I were buying a vitamin, I would prefer it to have this property. The reason why is that it results in a lower shelf life, but is more natural. Other esterified vitamins are chemically altered so that they are able to be stored for longer. Some people would rather have the more pure source.
